Booking
To secure a date, a signed bridal contract and a 50% deposit are required. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. This deposit will be put toward the client’s total wedding day balance if the client chooses wedding day services. The remaining balance will be due on or before the day of the event. Accepted forms of payment include: cash, check, and all major credit cards. (NOTE: bridal consultations and deposit fees are two separate costs.)
Polices

CONSULTATIONS: Consultations are available for brides as well as their bridal party members, including but not limited to: bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and groom, grandmothers, extended family members, guest speakers, etc. NOTE: Additional consultations must be scheduled on the same day as the bride’s consultation in order to avoid an additional travel fee.

DELAYS: Please be prepared to start when I arrive. All ladies receiving makeup should have a clean face & be ready to start. This is very important so we can stay on schedule, and I can finish applications in the allotted time. I will create a schedule for the day, and will send this by email to the Bride for review. A late fee of $25.00 will be charged for every 30 minutes of delay when a client is late for the scheduled time, or if the scheduled makeup application exceeds the allotted time due to client delays.

PARKING FEES: Where parking, valet or toll fees may be incurred. This amount will be included
in the final bill and will be due on the day of the event.

TRAVEL FEES: Travel within 20 miles of Alexandria, Virginia is completely free of charge. A mileage fee ($0.58/mile both ways) will be charged for locations outside of the 20-mile radius of Alexandria, Virginia 22310. Travel fees apply for all pre-event makeup consultations as well as day-of appointments.

HOURLY RATE: $25 per hour will be applied toward the final balance if touch-up services are
needed.

SERVICE LOCATION & REQUIREMENTS: The location of makeup services for the day-of-event will be at the Bride’s discretion, but there are certain requirements the artist will need to complete the services. A set-up table/work area/chair/trashcan/outlet if using airbrush will need to be made available for the Makeup Artist. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps, is necessary for services to be performed properly. Artist will arrive 1530 minutes prior to set-up. Please communicate the hotel room number if applicable by email or text.

SOCIAL MEDIA & WEBSITE: Photos taken at the trial or your professional photos may be used as examples of my work for future clients to view. Your photographer will receive proper credit for their work. You agree to me using these photos, as well as give consent to using your professional photos on my website/portfolio/social media. I will email you to request these photos and will also reach out to your photographer.

LIABILITY: All brushes, tools, and makeup products are sanitized between every makeup application. Makeup products used are hypoallergenic. Any allergies and/or skin conditions should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist (Marby Kottke) from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.

PAYMENT: The final balance is due on or before the day of the event before the makeup artist departs — no exceptions. The person(s) responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person(s) whose name(s) appear on this contract.

Cancellation Policy?
Cancellations must be made at least thirty (30) days prior to the client’s reserved date or the client will be responsible for paying the full amount of services agreed upon in this contract.
Prepare for my appointment?
For a makeup appointment, please make sure your face is completely clean and free of any makeup or mascara before the makeup artist arrives.
How last minute can I book my appointment?

You can book an appointment online up to eight hours before the appointment time. If you need an appointment sooner than eighth hours please email us directly at marby@marbymakeup.com.
